Temple Guardian
Unearthed Apocrypha #2: Outlaws and Ossuaries, p. 6.
Level 4 Conjuration (Cleric, Wizard)
Casting Time: Action
Range: 30 feet
Component: V, S, M (a tiny stone figurine, such as a angelic effigy, a gargoyle paperweight, or a chess piece)
Duration: 8 hours
You place a small stone carving near an entrance, passage, or doorway, asking it to keep watch. The figurine instantly swells in size, becoming a 10-foot-tall statue which stands guard over the place you indicated in the casting. Your guardian remains motionless in the absence of danger and is indiscernible from an ordinary stone statue. Your guardian remains for the Duration, or until you move more than 500 feet from the place it is guarding, at which time it reverts to a nonmagical figurine.
Your temple guardian has Truesight with a range of 30 feet and Immunity to all damage, but cannot move from the space in which it was placed. If a creature comes within 10 feet of the guardian without speaking the password you specify as the Verbal component of this spell, the guardian sends you a mental alert. This alert wakes you up if you are sleeping. Additionally, a creature that comes within 10 feet of the guardian on a turn, or starts its turn within 10 feet of the guardian, must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the target takes 4d12 Bludgeoning damage and its Speed becomes 0 for the rest of its turn. On a success, it takes half as much damage only.
