Mantle of the Reaper

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

“The snares of Death encompass me;
the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me.”
-Psalm 116:3

This sinister looking cowl is jet black and emblazoned with the symbol of Death: the crossed scythes of the harvest. A creature wearing a Mantle of the Reaper is branded as a member of Azrael’s elite team of operatives in the Veil known as the Reapers.

As a bonus action, you can speak the mantle’s command word to cause a pair of enormous black feathered wings to sprout from your back. You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed for 1 hour. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
